Handlebars, Shocks Footpegs for Short and Tall Riders

Just like the three bears beds for Goldilocks, our stock motorcycles are just not right sometimes. Often its a matter of adjusting the handlebars, the footpegs or the shocks. Fortunately, Harley-Davidson is aware that not all riders are built the same, so over the last few years, engineers in the PA department have been designing various parts to accommodate shorter and taller-than-average riders. We also included something every rider should have—a set of auxiliary riding lights from Motolight.

PRODUCT REVIEW: Motorcycle Armor Paint Protector

Here’s one of those products that I think is a great idea if it’s done right. PRODUCT REVIEW: Tour Master Motive Jacket

When I started riding motorcycles in 1995, I was young, naive and didn’t know anything about riding gear. I knew it was big and heavy, but I loved that fringe and even had grandiose ideas of adding beads and braids to make it unique to my style.

In the sportbiking lifestyle, sometimes fashion outweighs function. Many of today’s female sportbike riders prefer edgy, alternative garments with spunky designs and vibrant colors. So the quest becomes finding pieces that are fun to wear but also provide a level of protection.

PRODUCT REVIEW: Icon Stryker Vest

I’ve had my fair share of falls and crashes with my motorcycle, but having the right gear to protect my body made all the difference when it came to recovery. If anything was loose or too big, I paid for it. Luckily, that was back before gear manufacturers began to focus on the needs of women riders and create gear that fits snugly and comfortably so women can have a safer ride.
