A new coffee table book has come out about our favorite topic, women and motorcycling. “Chicks on Bikes” by Christina Shook debuted at the AMA International Women and Motorcycling Conference in Keystone, Colorado. According to the press release on the book, Chicks on Bikes is the first book to visually chronicle the culture and lifestyle of real women motorcyclists.

Tami Walker, owner of Diva Customs, a specialty garage for female riders, has released a new book about women. Tami asked 100 women why they prefer life on two wheels and compiled their answers. “Why We Ride” tells why these women decided to break the mold and ride a motorcycle. This is an inspiring book with accounts from interesting women riders like Laura Klock, Sara Liberte, Jody Perewitz, and Dawn Williams.

Im a big fan of the Ride Like A Pro series of DVDs that show riders how to become a better motorcycle rider through a series of fun exercises. I even produced a short video on the women and men of the “Ride Like A Pro” team. Now, you can read and look at pictures of how to become a better rider in “Ride Like A Pro – the Book.”

There is little that can match the sublime sensation of riding down a peaceful backroad completely in tune with your motorcycle and the surroundings, or the exhilaration that comes from slicing skillfully through a series of challenging corners on a long descent. We always get excited when new books come into our office because were big book lovers. Normally, our interest wouldnt peak that high when a book about racing comes to our offices, let alone one centered around obscure BMW racing, but this book is different. “BMW Racing Motrocycles: The Mastery of Speed” is co-written by our pal Laurel Allen, senior editor at Road Racer X magazine (pictured at right).
