The panoramic and stark white shots of the Bonneville land speed tryouts alone are worth the price of admission. Add to that the beautiful, articulate Melissa Paris, and Laura Klock’s mother-daughter-daughter team with a land speed record, and it’s easy to see how “Why We Ride” is something like the girl’s version of the motorcycle film classic “On Any Sunday.”

PIONEERS: Honeymooning by Motorcycle in 1934!

After their marriage in 1934, Stanislaw and Halina Bujakowski decided that for their honeymoon, they would fulfill a lifelong dream and travel by motorcycle from their home in Druskininkai, Poland to Shanghai, China. They already owned a BSA motorcycle which was equipped with a sidecar, so all they needed to do was to pack and go.
