READER MOTORCYCLE REVIEW: 2007 Honda Shadow Aero 750

The Honda Shadow was my dream bike from the day I set eyes on it at the International Motorcycle Show in New York City. I had considered other manufacturers and styles, and had been practicing on a Honda Rebel before taking the MSF course, but once I sat on the Aero I was convinced.

PRODUCT REVIEW: Thumbnail Extension for Small Hands

This is one of those products where you say “why didnt I think of that?” Well, Chris Robson and his team at the Robson Company solved a problem when one of their women rider staffers was having trouble reaching her motorcycles turn signal buttons. Her hands are too small to reach the turn signal on her Harley-Davidson without having to move her hand off the throttle or clutch which is not a good thing when youre riding. So the Thumbnail Extension was born.

Non-Slip Brake Pedal

If you ride a Harley-Davidson touring or Softail model that has a front brake pedal with a rubber pad, you may have experienced your foot slipping on the rubber when the rubber gets wet, muddy or greasy, or when it wears over time. Well, the folks at The Robson Company, have come up with another great idea to solve the problem of your foot slipping off the brake pedal.

READER MOTORCYCLE REVIEW: 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 750

I chose this bike because I tried holding up my husbands friends Shadow, and it felt like something I could handle as a beginning rider. It was probably a little big for me to start with. I dropped it twice on my first day riding on my own, but keep in mind I had never ridden any kind of motorized two wheeler.

READER MOTORCYCLE REVIEW: 2008 Harley-Davidson Nightster 1200 1986 Honda Rebel

I own two motorcycles. The first one my husband and I purchased was a 2008 Harley-Davidson Nightster 1200. We bought this bike in May 2008 after I signed up to take the Riders Course, which I completed and passed in June 2008. I had never ridden a bike before this except on the back with my husband.

READER MOTORCYCLE REVIEW: 2007 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail

I chose the Heritage Softail because it was a “best fit” for my height, riding style and basic comfort. This was a first-time purchase with my brand-new class 6 license. The height and power of this machine suit me and my riding style very well. I appreciate the looks of it, but more than that, because I am tall, the Heritage Softail fit me like an amazing pair of perfect jeans!

Battery Operated Heated Gear

Falling temperatures can put the chill on the journey for some motorcycle riders. One way to extend your riding season is by wearing heated gear. But pants, vests, jackets and gloves that heat by hooking into your motorcycles battery can be cumbersome with all the wires. As a result, some riders have not “bought into” the whole heated gear concept.
