I just returned from Harley-Davidsons 105th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee, but before I blog about that, I have to catch you up on Sturgis, and more news I heard this week. Harley stuff to come in a future blog. The big talk around Sturgis this year – as well as after the rally, was about how low attendance was compared to last year. Funny, I noticed a bigger drop-off in 2007, but nobody was making a big deal about it then.
OK it may not be for everybody, but I LOVE IT! I finally have the bike paint job I want. JoAnn Bortles of CrazyHorsePainting exceeded my expections and then some. The flat, matte, rough finish paint job is exactly what I envisioned when I bought my new 2008 Harley-Davidson Street Glide in January and sent off the black painted parts to her to do her magic.

My last three speaking engagements have taken me to points east, south, and west meeting a variety of women riders. In between I squeezed in a trip to Chicago to attend the national Marketing to Women Conference where I educated myself on the latest trends, statistics and cultural shifts taking place regarding women. It was fascinating!
