I’ve been back from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally just two weeks, and I’m still catching my breath as I pore over hundreds of photos and several hours of video that I shot. Our goal at Women Riders Now is to deliver finely crafted stories as opposed to hastily posted photos and quickly written news copy in an effort to be the first online source to get you the story.

You’ve probably heard of the Hoka Hey Challenge, a motorcycle endurance ride that has riders traveling 10,000 miles through 48 states and several Canadian provinces to win a $250,000 grand prize.

I am proud to share with you that Women Riders Now is the first media outlet to learn about and report on a new promotion from Harley-Davidson designed to attract more women to motorcycling.

There are two things Im passionate about: one you can probably guess is motorcycling, and the other is pets, particularly dogs and cats. That’s why, in what little spare time I have, I volunteer at my local animal shelter as a member of the board of directors.

Women Riders Now was the first to report on plans in the works for a womens motorcycling ride taking place during this years Sturgis Rally. The ride is being held to benefit the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame and the Abbott House, a home for at-risk girls.

I love when a company puts its money where its mouth is—companies that say women are an important, influential and powerful demographic in motorcycling and then do something about it. Can-Ams Spyder parent company, BRP, is holding two women-only demo events in April allowing female riders to test the new three-wheeled Spyder roadster in a very pleasant and inviting experience.
