PRODUCT REVIEW WITH VIDEO: Convertible Riding Sunglasses for Women

I’m pretty picky when it comes to motorcycle riding sunglasses. They have to fit just right and not cause my head to ache after hours of wearing them on my bike. With that in mind, I’m impressed with Bobster’s efforts at making female-oriented riding glasses, including the first convertible sunglasses for women riders.

MOTORCYCLE REVIEW: 2012 Suzuki GSX-R600

There’s a reason why so many women choose the Suzuki GSX-R600 when shopping for a sportbike. The chassis and seat are narrow and relatively low, allowing for an easy reach to the ground for even the shortest of riders (that includes me, at 5-foot-2). Throttle response is smooth but powerful enough to feed the jollies fluttering around in your stomach in anticipation of a ride on this bike.

Tinted Visor Insert Eliminates Need for Sunglasses

A full-face helmet is the ultimate in head protection when riding a motorcycle, but when you slip on a pair of sunglasses under the helmet, things get complicated. E-Tint eliminates all these issues with technology that was developed for US Air Force pilots. The term “e-Tint” stands for “electronic tint,” a clear visor that tints electronically to adjust to varying light conditions.

Backroads With Betsy: A Biker Is a Biker, a Brother, a Friend

Lately I’ve had cause to ponder the question, “What makes a biker a biker?” Are you a biker just because you own a motorcycle? Are you a lifestyle biker or an occasional weekend warrior? I even had a guy comment under a photo of me on Facebook that he just didn’t understand “people that would desecrate their bike just to make it look ridden,” as if I hadn’t put my time in or paid my dues.

Though the AMA International Women and Motorcycling Conference ended three weeks ago, women motorcyclists are still talking about it on Facebook, sharing photos and connecting with new friends online. The four-day celebration of women riders was a chance to meet new friends, reconnect with old ones and learn about various aspects of motorcycling.
