Women Riders Now is pleased to announce that Carla Curtis of Salem, Virginia, is the winner of Aprils “Everybody Has A Story” contest sponsored by SS Cycle. Carlas story, entitled “Riding Is My Healer” touches on an issue thousands of women deal with every day, domestic abuse.

Patricia DiPietro was named CEO Vice President of the American Motorcyclist Association in November 2005. Its a newly created position to help with the AMAs reorganization. DiPietro sat down and talked with Genevieve Schmitt of Women Riders Now for an exclusive first interview since taking the position. Producers with the hit ABC TV show “Wife Swap” are looking for a mother who rides a motorcycle who would like to appear on a future episode of the show. According to casting producer Marvin Daye, the ideal candidate will have children between the ages of 10 to 15 so there will be opportunities for good interaction between the family members.

Robert Pandya, responsible for the Aprilia brand sponsoring Femmoto, an all-womens track and demo day, is being promoted to product manager for the companys new off-road products. Robert worked as Aprilia and Moto Guzzi public relations manager for the last six years and is credited for spearheading the effort to have Aprilia sponsor and provide demo motorcycles at the 6-year-old Femmoto event starting in 2002.
