“Everybody Has A Story” April Winner Announced

Story deals with issue touching thousands of women

Women Riders Now is pleased to announce that Carla Curtis of Salem, Virginia, is the winner of Aprils “Everybody Has A Story” contest sponsored by Samp;S Cycle. Carlas story, entitled “Riding Is My Healer” touches on an issue thousands of women deal with every day, domestic abuse.

“Ironically, Carlas story wasnt the only one we received focusing on domestic abuse,” said Genevieve Schmitt, president of Women Riders Now. “Another story focused on the the same issue explaining how motorcycling was part of the healing process. Both are very inspirational stories showing that there are ways to escape the violence and turn ones life around.”

That second story received an honorable mention for Aprils “Everybody Has A Story” contest as well as another story. Both honorable mentions and Carlas story are found by clicking on Readers Stories/April Winner. Carla wins a womens shop jacket and a T-shirt courtesy of Samp;S Cycle.
