Weve been alerted to a tour being put together of the Himalayas and parts of India that will be the first women only motorcycle tour organized by Indias only women-owned motorcycle tour company. From August 27 to September 11, 2010, Moksha, owner of Back-N-Beyond, will guide a group of women around the most scenic parts of the Himalayas on 350cc or 500cc Royal Enfield motorcycles.

Women motorcyclists have been the fastest growing demographic in the motorcycle industry since 1990, when women represented just three percent of riders. Today, women represent 23 percent of all motorcyclists, and in an effort to encourage this growing trend of women hitting the open road, Harley-Davidson is celebrating National Garage Party Month in March by hosting nearly 400 Garage Party events at dealerships across the country.

There is a new womens motorcycle rally shaping up in the southern Midwest region called Bikes Babes Bling scheduled for July 1-3, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Bikes Babes Bling is the sister rally of Bikes Blues BBQ festival which just celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2009. The goal of this first time female oriented event, say rally organizers, is to focus on providing women a safe and fun experience where they can come together to share their love of motorcycles and riding.

During this years 69th Annual Daytona Bike Week, hundreds of female motorcycle enthusiasts and Harley-Davidson Motor Company are banding together to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and their efforts to find a cure for neuromuscular disease. On Tuesday, March 2, 2010, the MDA and the Motor Company will host the 3rd Annual Harley-Davidson Womens Ride.

Harley-Davidson is extending its Competitive Bike Exchange trade-in program launched last December through February 28, 2010. The incentive program offers customers who trade-in an eligible non-Harley-Davidson brand motorcycle a credit of $500 above the dealer-negotiated trade-in value towards the purchase price of a new untitled Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson Unveils New Sportster
The newest motorcycle from Harley-Davidson to join the Dark Custom family of motorcycles that includes the new 2010 Sportster Forty-Eight, the Nightster, and the Cross Bones, is the 2010 Ultra Classic Electra Glide which went through the CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) treatment to get its blacked out treatment.
