Professional drag racer Valerie Thompson set another record at Bonneville Speedways 4th International Motorcycle Speed Trials in Utah last week. The record setting run was for the fastest time on a Panhead motorcycle. Valerie clocked in at 161.736 miles per hour, an all-new land speed record racing a bike built by Keith R. Ball/5 Ball Racing especially for her.

Polaris and Victory Motorcycle dealers in Minnesota and Wisconsin are teaming up with Polaris ATV, RANGER and Victory riders to raise funds for the American Cancer Society in a special campaign called the “Polaris Rider Challenge to Fight Cancer.” This special fundraising drive runs through October 31, 2007.

Motorcycle safety advocate Don Gomo is the recipient of this years “Outstanding Motorcycle Safety Award,” presented by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Every year, based on nominations submitted by the training community, the MSF recognizes individuals, groups, businesses, military services, and state programs for outstanding contributions to motorcycle safety in the United States.
