Mustang Seats just came out with a new one-piece Super Touring design to provide rider and passenger with a more comfortable and ergonomically friendly riding position on 2008-10 Harley-Davidson FL models. The seat moves the rider back from stock 1.75 inches, and lowers her so she has a better chance of reaching her feet firmly on the ground. The deeply pocketed saddle measures a wide 19 inches.

In response to her customers telling her that her motorcycle riding jackets need more room in the bust Shelly Reiner, owner Girl Gear Apparel, redesigned her line of textile jackets to accommodate this need. Shelly says, “I am excited about the sizing because it is better suited to fit the chest and front of women. Some of my friends who only fit in mens jackets are able to fit into these sizes.”

I dont ride a motorcycle to build or create an identity for myself. I am who I am whether I ride or not. I dont ride to prove that women are strong, brave and adventurous enough to ride motorcycles. I was those things before I began to ride and I think most women are, whether they like motorcycles or not (and still, the bravest, most challenging thing Ive ever done is raise kids!).

Nancy Davidson, wife of Willie G. Davidson, director of styling with Harley-Davidson Motor Company, is one of two women to be inducted into The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame in August. The Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame is designed to recognize individuals or groups who have made a long term positive impact on the motorcycle community.

There is a new womens motorcycle rally shaping up in the southern Midwest region called Bikes Babes Bling scheduled for July 1-3, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Bikes Babes Bling is the sister rally of Bikes Blues BBQ festival which just celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2009. The goal of this first time female oriented event, say rally organizers, is to focus on providing women a safe and fun experience where they can come together to share their love of motorcycles and riding.
