Genevieve Goes to the Sturgis Rally 2009 Part 3

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is more than bikes, bars, and babes. This year there were several charity events going on that allow you to rally for a reason and thats just what I did.Check out The Legends Ride hosted by the Buffalo Chip and the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce, the Kids Chrome charity auction and dinner, and my favorite event, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame Induction Breakfast. See who was there, what went on, and how attending the rally can be about giving back.

Largest Harley Womens Parade Ever

To celebrate the increase in women riding their own motorcycles, Harley-Davidson organized a womens parade taking place during Daytona Bike Week 2008. The parade was the culmination of the “Get Down to Daytona” contest where six winners submitted videos talking about their riding mentors. WRNs Genevieve Schmitt was there covering the event.

As part of a media event, WRN Editor, Genevieve Schmitt, toured the factory where Harley-Davidson manufactures its big twin engines. That is all of Harleys engines except for the Sportster XL engines. Unlike the XL engine factory, public tours of the big twin facility are not given. So heres an exclusive look inside at some of the action.
