The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is more than bikes, bars, and babes. This year there were several charity events going on that allow you to rally for a reason and thats just what I did.Check out The Legends Ride hosted by the Buffalo Chip and the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce, the Kids Chrome charity auction and dinner, and my favorite event, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame Induction Breakfast. Behind the Scenes of USA Biker Nation Radio

On Saturday, May 17, I was invited to Denver to speak at a ladies night at Erico Motorsports. I was also invited to be a guest on Peter Boyles USA Biker Nation syndicated radio show based in Denver. Peter, a popular morning radio talk show host in Denver and host of a weekend biker radio show, was doing a live remote on Saturday morning to promote the evenings event.

Daytona Bike Week 2008: Whats there for women

In five days, I canvassed Daytona Bike Week looking for things that caught my eye and testing new products and motorcycles for future stories on WRN. Armed with a still camera as well as a video camera, here are a few highlights of what I saw, including a teaser of stories to come on WRN.

Largest Harley Womens Parade Ever

To celebrate the increase in women riding their own motorcycles, Harley-Davidson organized a womens parade taking place during Daytona Bike Week 2008. The parade was the culmination of the “Get Down to Daytona” contest where six winners submitted videos talking about their riding mentors. WRNs Genevieve Schmitt was there covering the event.

Building a Big Twin Engine

As part of a media event, WRN Editor, Genevieve Schmitt, toured the factory where Harley-Davidson manufactures its big twin engines. That is all of Harleys engines except for the Sportster XL engines. Unlike the XL engine factory, public tours of the big twin facility are not given. So heres an exclusive look inside at some of the action.
