In two decades of riding I’ve had plenty of unfortunate opportunities to ride in the rain, getting completely soaked in the process. Trying different rain gear options, I had settled on a Tour Master rain suit that keeps me dry as a bone but when packed away the bulky jacket and pants take up most of my Harley-Davidson Street Glide’s saddlebags. Searching for a better option, I am happy to report that the Harley-Davidson Women’s Hi-Vis rain suit is much more packable and does the same great job of keeping me dry in wet weather.

Harley-Davidson gear has always been synonymous with quality; its Hi-Vis waterproof rain suit is no exception. Ordering an XL to wear over my size Large armored riding jacket and size 12 pants, the suit works well as an outer layer of wet weather protection.

One major factor in selecting rain gear for any ride has always been about where to put it. The great thing about the Hi-Vis rain suit is its compact size. It comes with its own carry bag to keep it clean and easily stored in saddlebags, a backpack, or tailbag.
The jacket and pants stuff into an included 11 x 5 x 5-inch compressible storage bag. Once in my motorcycle’s saddlebag, I still have plenty of room for my jacket, purse, and other belongings.
The jacket features a comfortable mesh lining with a Velcro storm flap that covers the zipper. There are two exterior hand pockets, perfect for stowing small items such as a set of keys.

The pants feature an elastic waist and built-in heat shields on the inside of each calf for protection against melting the pants on hot motorcycle parts.

The Hi-Vis pants can be pulled on over boots; there are no leg zippers, which can let water in, but extra wide pant leg openings with Velcro storm flaps from the knee down maintains weatherproofing.The pant legs feature elastic stirrups which keep them from blowing up while youre riding.The front, arms, and back of the Harley-Davidson Hi-Vis jacket have reflective piping along with a large Harley bar-and-shield logo for added visibility in low light conditions. The pants are mostly black but do include a long strip of orange and reflective piping.
