Why women ride? Women ride because they love it! I ride with nine to 10 other women every month. We have so much fun. We ride, eat, shop, ride, you get the gist of it. We normally leave around 10:30 a.m. and return home around 4 or 5 p.m. We try and have a different route each month and I have thoroughly enjoyed every ride we have had. I look forward to riding.
I can get out and ride and leave all the junk behind and have good conversation and fellowship with my friends. God has blessed us so much and kept us safe through all of our journeys so far. We are planning on some two to three day trips in 2009, and I am already looking forward to it.
Editors Note: Motorcycle clubs are a great way to meet other women interested in motorcycles who get together to ride, socialize and help out with community events. WRN now has the most comprehensive list of womens riding clubs available. Check out the Women Motorcycle Clubs page on WRN. You can use it to find a group of women in your area to share the riding experience with, or as a quick way to check whats new with your club if you belong to one.
I recently joined a chapter of Women In The Wind called the NJ Renegades. I haven't ridden with them yet as it is still cold and snowy here in New Jersey. But I agree, I would love to ride with women. They understand the misgivings, the pressure women have when riding with men, etc. My fiance is great, but he harps on my mistakes instead of encouraging me.
