New Harley Apparel Line Supports Breast Cancer Cause

Its an unwritten rule in motorcycling culture to stop for a distressed rider. Of course, rider ethics go well beyond the open road as motorcyclists often stop on the journey of life to help those in need – rider and non-rider alike. In the spirit of that support, Harley-Davidson is introducing a new clothing line designed to aid those touched by breast cancer.

The Pink Label Leather Jacket (P/N 98160-10VW, $295) combines lightweight leather, multiple zippered pockets and pink-embroidered graphics.
Made from 73 percent cotton/27 percent polyester with pink-embroidered graphics, the new Activewear Pant (P/N 99172-10VW, $40) is casually comfortable. (Activewear Hoodie also available.)

The new Harley-Davidson Pink Label Collection was inspired by women who have been affected by breast cancer. The collection is comprised of 12 of the most popular womens MotorClothes silhouettes each featuring a tasteful touch of pink including jackets, pants, eyewear, gloves, helmet, shirts and more.

The 93 percent cotton/7 percent spandex Pink Label S/S Tee (P/N 99175-10VW) is embroidered on both sides and available in XS to 3W sizes.
The reverse of the Pink Label S/S Tee is also embroidered and retails for $30.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of every Pink Label Collection item will help fund the YourShoes 24/7 Support Center, which is administered by the national non-profit Breast Cancer Network of Strength. The YourShoes center, which helped nearly 50,000 people in 2008 alone, is staffed by breast cancer survivors who provide immediate emotional relief, at any time of day, to people affected by breast cancer.

Made from 100 percent cotton with an elastic band, the Pink Label Headwrap with Pink Embroidery (P/N 99499-10VW, $15) can be worn as a headband or wrap.

    Actually, lung cancer kills more women than all female cancers combined. I am an oncology nurse, but you can check those numbers with the American Cancer Society. While breast cancer occurs more, it is caught earlier and has a variety of treatment options.

    Marilyn…maybe you could contact a purple ribbon group and ask them to make a clothing line or you could start one yourself. While breast cancer may not always be a death sentence from day one, it still is for lots of women. It effects more people than any other cancer.

    I think this is a nice idea, and the clothing is rather tastefully done. But, there are other killer cancers out there, and I do get a bit tired of all the focus on Breast Cancer. My mother died of Pancreatic (the purple ribbon) as did many other people lately, and Pancreatic Cancer is a death sentence from day one. Why not put some focus on other cancers too so that the needed money for research can be done as well?

    In regards to the “Pink Label” Leather Jacket; does it have anything on the back of the jacket?

      We've not actually seen the jacket but according to Harley-Davidson's Web site the back of the neck has an embroidered bar & shield logo on it.

    Very attractive looking clothing only wish they made a line of them without the Harley logo plastered all over them. My Suzuki and I would love all the pink trimmings but without the logo or some different logos.
