Women Riders Now was the first to report that Harley-Davidson is planning a two-day womens event in May 2010 as part of Women Riders Month, now held annually. Today Harley-Davidson is officially announcing its plans to commemorate the 2nd Annual Women Riders Month by hosting women riders in its hometown of Milwaukee, Wis., on May 22 and 23, 2010. Women Riders Month is designed to celebrate the millions of women who have already grabbed life by the handlebars, as well as inspire more women to experience the freedom of the open road.
During the two day event, the Motor Company has planned a series of activities for women including demo rides at the Harley-Davidson Museum, new product displays and an opportunity to meet and speak with Karen Davidson, great granddaughter of one of the Motor Company founders. On Saturday, an independent ride featuring several stops throughout the city of Milwaukee and surrounding areas will give riders a taste of Wisconsin. An organized ride later that day will land at an evening block party featuring live entertainment.
“We are very excited to build upon the successful Women Riders Month events we hosted this past year in New York City and Milwaukee,” said Leslie Prevish, women’s outreach manager at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “Of course, we’re especially thrilled about the opportunity to welcome female riders from across the country to our hometown.”
The Women Riders Month event in Milwaukee is open to riders of all brands of motorcycles and non-riders alike – women are encouraged to bring friends to join them in the various activities. A full schedule of activities and registration for the Women Riders Month 2010 event will be announced in early 2010 at Harley-Davidson.com.
WomenRidersNow.com will continue to post details as they become available.

News: Women amp; Motorcycling Event Held in May
I just bought a 2010 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe and can't wait to meet other female motorcyclists. I have already booked my hotel room at The Iron Horse. I'll see you in Milwaukee.
I am looking forward to this event. Milwaukee is a beautiful city. Visited this past September when the Iron Horse Hotel had there Women's Appreciation evening. Outstanding! Been riding for 40 years and love seeing more and more women riders. I challenge more women to join us. I would like to hook up with others between TN and WI to roar in together. Love my H-D!
I enjoyed last year's event very much. We had a group of nine women who left Rockford, Illinois, in the rain but by mid-day the sun was out! I am so happy that they are planning a 2-day event next year. I am already looking for hotels around the area and telling all of my female riding friends of the news. It will be an awesome experience.
I would love to go, but that's right at the end of our school year. Leaving then, at the time of finals, would be deserting my students at that critical time, so I'll have to wait until 2011, when I'll be retired.
