The Billboard Flare, available for motorcycles without a fairing, is available in clear and tinted options.
Non-faired bikes such as the Harley-Davidson Road King, Softail, Dyna, even Sportsters and Yamaha V Stars, can get the same performance and style with bolt-on ease that the original and patented Flare Windshields offer riders that have fairings on their bikes.
What’s so special about the Flare?
The Flare (reviewed here on WRN) is an original windshield of its kind that surprises riders who try it with not only how great it looks, but also with how well it performs. The innovative design features “hips” at the outer edge of the shield that re-route the air to add down force to the front of the bike. This creates stability superior to riding with a stock shield. The “flip” at the top of the Flare is designed to kick the air up and back as “clean,” less turbulent air for the rider and passenger. This translates to less “bobblehead,” when a rider’s head bobbles around from all the wind blasting her or him.
The Flare is manufactured from hard-coated polycarbonate material for added durability. “The Billboard Flare was designed specifically for bikes that don’t have fairings. We took the same concept and tested it with a variety of bikes and different heights of riders to achieve the same performance and style goals we set for all of our Flare options,” stated Brian Klock, president, Klock Werks. The Billboard Flare is a replacement shield, designed to work with factory mounting brackets and hardware.
