I love the color pink and have collected hippos since I was in the fourth grade. I had my Honda VTX 1300S custom-painted pink with lifelike water drops. Water and hippos go together.
The Honda VTX 1300S has been customized with Oxford heated grips, chrome trim, and an accessory trunk. I also added an Ultimate X seat and driver’s backrest. I had saddlebags shipped from a company in California, Mutazu, that has a variety of bags and accessories for Harleys and metric cruisers.
Nobody sold a pink-tinted windshield so I bought pink tint off eBay and tinted my windshield and lowers myself. I’ve added highway bars and crash bars to the Mutazu MU saddlebags. The front fender proudly displays a “Road Queen” logo. Most recently, I’ve replaced the spoke rims for cast wheels.

I know Margie Bierman personally, and I know the hard work they have put into her “Hippo Chick” bike. I am amazed at the different things she has done to the bike each time I see it! She and her family are very amazing people!!
Lookin’ good sister Marge! Love you guys!
Thank you Sandi and Bobbie. Yes I love the chrome trim too! I have it around the front fender and trunk too. I agree to each their own and I think it gives it a nice finished look. Mike Hopper at Hoppers Choppers in Bolivar, Missouri, painted my bike. I also have a car tire on the rear of my bike. Love the ride it gives.
Love the bike, Margie, and the story behind it!
I love this bike! And I noticed the chrome trim on her gas tank seam. We have put that on all our bikes. It makes me crazy when bike reviewers gripe about tank seams when adding the trim works great! Love the story of the hippo escapes too!
