WomenRidersNow.com Welcomes New Columnist

Star of Discovery Channel's "Motorcycle Women" adds unique perspective

Betsy Huelskamp, the star of “Motorcycle Women,” a documentary that aired on the Discovery Channel in 2003, begins writing for WomenRidersNow.com as a columnist and a contributor. “Betsy has a unique perspective on life and riding, truly living life on her own terms,” says Genevieve Schmitt, founder and editor of WomenRidersNow.com. “I know she will inspire lots of riders. She is a welcomed addition to this online magazine.”

Long before she was cast in the Discovery Channel documentary, Betsy was, and still is, a fixture on the Southern California Harley-Davidson motorcycle scene. Plus, those whove been attending Sturgis for the last 20 years may recognize Betsy from seeing her ride down Main Street on her rusty chopper wearing fringed leather outfits. Betsy definitely has her own style and point of view and that, perhaps, is the reason, so many riders are interested in what shes doing and what she has to say.

Betsy will contribute a column as well as feature stories on the page entitled “Backroading W/ Betsy.” The link is found in the “Departments” links on the left side of WomenRidersNow.com.
