Riders Edge Reaches Milestone

Harley-Davidson training program graduates 100,000th student

The Harley-Davidson Riders Edge New Rider Course trained its 100,000th student at a facility in Naples, Florida. The nationwide program was created in 2000 and uses the curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundations (MSF) Basic RiderCourse.

The Riders Edge New Rider Course offers beginning riders classroom instruction and motorcycle training on a Buell Blast. Upon passing a multiple-choice written knowledge test and a riding skills evaluation, students receive a New Rider Course/MSF course completion card.

The Harley-Davidson program offers two other courses, the Rider#8217;s Edge Skilled Rider Course and the Riders Edge/MSF Guide to Group Riding video. The Skilled Rider Course gives current riders additional training and practice to enhance riding skills. The Riders Edge/MSF Guide to Group Riding helps hone the skills of motorcyclists who frequently ride with groups of other motorcyclists.

The Riders Edge New Rider Course is offered in 40 states through 157 authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships. For more information on the program see ridersedge.com.
