New Motorcycle Jackets and Jeans for 2017 Riding Season

Functional and fashionable gear from REV'IT!

By Genevieve Schmitt, Editor

REVIT! makes highly functional motorcycle apparel for all types of riding. There is an extensive womens collection that includes jackets, pants, gloves, and boots. I reviewed the Levante jacket a few years ago and loved the attention to detail all around.

Heres just a small sample of some of the newest items in REVIT!s 2017 spring / summer collection. Some of these have the number 2 after the name indicating the second iteration of a classic piece. I appreciate how REVIT! continues to improve on some of its best sellers to offer riders the latest in comfort and protective feature technology.

No matter what style of motorcycle you ride, we can all use a functional and protective mesh jacket for those extremely warm riding days. The Eclipse combines lightweight abrasion-resistant polyester on the impact zones with mesh everywhere else for one of the best “cooling” jackets on the market.

An extra “PWR-shield” knit at the seat and knees gives the Westwood Ladies jeans unsurpassed tear and abrasion resistance. CE-level 1 knee protection comes standard, and theres the option to include similar hip protection. 3M Scotchlite reflection at the cuff of the jeans offers a touch of extra visibility when the sun goes down.

  1. My issue is that most mesh and textile jackets (with the exception of Joe Rocket and Speed and Strength, and one Scorpion design) look like men’s racing jackets, and pretty much look exactly alike. Color blocking in vertical bands usually at the sides and/or across the shoulder/chest. Or they are a solid color.Only the jackets I’ve mentioned above have any kind of “design” element such as embroidery that truly adds design interest, or appeals to a rider who might not want to blend in with the crowd so easily.

  2. I was very excited to see this article, until I saw that sizes stop at XL. Seriously? Has REV’IT! looked at any random group of lady riders out there? We are size 2XL, 3XL, and up. And we want to look sharp and wear safe feminie gear while riding too! I’m 6 feet tall, long-waisted, and wear a size 12 woman’s boot and shoe. And I am very disappointed. Again. Would someone please make plus size feminine gear! So tired of wearing men’s gear. Please!

  3. Any real plus sizes yet? A lot of women do not like pink.
