G by Hein Gericke is the new womens line of motorcycle gear from the popular German manufacturer of motorcycle apparel. The La Jolla is one of several stylish jackets in the line. Its a classy, feminine cut, soft cow leather jacket with side zippered pockets, zippered cuffs, zippered side vents, and double-zippered front with snap collar. The La Jolla is very flattering, fashionable and definitely made with a woman in mind.
While it may not be conducive to heavy layering underneath because of its slim fit, there was definitely room for a heated vest without appearing bulky. I would have preferred roomier pockets for my cell phone, lipstick and other essentials, but the two outside and three inside ones were sufficient. I did like how the sleeves were pre-curved and long enough for the arm-stretch of riding. I also appreciate the longer length of the jacket in back providing extra back protection especially when Im wearing my low-rise jeans.
The “G” logo on the back of the jacket is also a nice touch and provided a cool accent across my waistline, although not all women like to draw attention to that area. There are two strips of reflective piping on the back of the jacket.
