Honda Unveils Next Generation CBR1000RR

Completely new from the ground up

The CBR1000RR is the newest addition to American Honda Motor Company lineup of motorcycles. A completely new machine from the ground up, the CBR1000RR reinforces Hondaês legacy of creating breathtaking breakthroughs in the literbike class and establishes a new pinnacle of sportbike performance and rideability.

The Honda CBR1000RR retails for $11,599.

“The CBR1000RR represents the ultimate in Hondaês sportbike technology, with innovations that will establish new performance standards in all aspects of the open class,” said Honda Motorcycle Division Press Manager Jon Row.

New ergonomic triangle lets rider sit 10mm farther forward and 10mm lower than previous-generation CBR1000RR. Handlebars are 6.5mm higher and 2mm forward.

With the addition of the CBR1000RR, American Hondaês powersports product line now encompasses 58 models, many of them all-new or significantly redesigned. The CBR1000RR features an all-new 999cc inline four-cylinder engine, lightweight titanium intake valves, unique slipper clutch features cam mechanism to reduce clutch lever pull, and a new mid-muffler exhaust system design incorporates exhaust valve and catalyst.
