Alpinestar Women's Stella Tech 3 Boots
Women's Stella Tech 3 boots are the perfect addition to your off-road or adventure kit when outfitting yourself to traverse the dirt or gravel. Designed with women’s fitment needs in mind, the reasonably priced Stella Tech 3’s provide comfortable, sturdy, water-resistant protection with a bit of fashion.
Stella Tech 3: Construction Fit for Women
Women riders are often frustrated trying to wear men’s boots, as the shaft can be too high and the calf fit too narrow. Alpinestars is known for designing its Stella boots to be more ergonomically specific to a typical woman’s foot, ankle, and calf. The beefier, more modern design of the Stella Tech 3 boots feature a host of upgrades and borrowed technology from the men’s Tech 7s, giving them pro level protection built on a female foot last (the mold for the sole and foot bed.) The Stella Tech 3 boots provide this exceptional fit with updated comfort features as well.
The Tech 3 boots are constructed with Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU) areas to provide sturdy, lightweight impact and abrasion protection with flexibility and comfort. The ankles feature an accordion flex system as well as an integrated pivot system to provide supported range of motion.
A higher heel cup provides added protection and an optimized fit to the reinforced roomy toe box and steel shank. The Stella Tech 3 boots feature heat-resistant grip panels on the inner sides.
Buckle Up for Comfort
One frustration I experience with off-road boots are the buckles which are prone to misalignment, becoming difficult or breakable after use, or coming open while riding. Alpinestars has developed the polymer, fiberglass, and aluminum buckle system on the Stella Tech 3 boots to be “self-aligning,” lightweight, and easy to use, even with gloves on. The three buckles vary position from front, side, forward, and back to protect against unlatching completely when riding in branches or rocks.
Most-Weather Comfort and Performance
When I say that the Women's Stella Tech 3 boots are “most-weather,” I mean they provide comfort and protection in wet, dry, warm, and cold conditions. Although they are not completely waterproof, they are designed to be highly water-resistant and include a rain gusset. While I haven’t tested them in horrific downpours, I’ve ridden through my fair share of puddles and water crossings without suffering wet socks. The insole is removable and washable for the worst-case scenario.
Women's Stella Tech 3 Boots Have Sole!
These super grippy, sturdy off-road boots offer some additional features in the soles. The tread pattern enhances grip in the front to grab onto the shifter/brake. The aggressive tread in the arch is intended for superior grip on the footpegs. The heel also includes deep divots which are intended to help dirt and mud to break off before building up too thick. The spikes on the toes also help for those unanticipated off-road hikes to see sights or retrieve a wayward motorcycle.
Fit and Ordering Info
Alpinestars Stella Tech 3 boots come in U.S. women’s sizes 6 to 9 in whole sizes only. I usually wear a size 9 U.S. and the Alpinestars 9 fits me like a glove, er boot. They are still roomy enough to allow for a thicker sock in winter, too. Alpinestars offers this great fitment guide.
The women's Stella Tech 3 boots come in black/white or black/white/pink (with a splash of zebra) and retail for $259.99. For more information and to order online visit Alpinestars.com.
