For decades, manufacturers have been making undergarments for bicyclists, so it seems only natural that they’d start designing the same for motorcyclists. LDComfort has been making long-distance motorcycle undergarments for men since 1999. Now the company is recognizing the importance of the womens riding community by offering ladies versions of its riding shorts, tights and tops.
The LDComfort Women’s Combo Top is designed like a tank top, but with a bra-like supportive inner liner made from dual-layer fabric that keeps skin dry. The top has no wires, minimal seams and enough support that you can ride without worry. The Combo Top is meant to fit snuggly and comes in a wide range of womens sizes.
Like the Combo Top, LDComfortsWomens DryLine Shorts are made with a dual-layer material that keeps moisture away from your skin. The shorts are ideal for long-distance riding thanks to their lack of seams in the seating area. The lightweight material helps regulate body temperature, while the fabrics antimicrobial properties help prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria. The one-way gripper leg and high back help prevent ride-ups or ride-downs, and designers added a gusset to the womens version of the shorts for additional comfort.
The LDComfort Womens Combo Top is available in sizes Small to XX-Large for $57.85, while the Dryline Shorts are available in sizes Small to 4X-Large for $39.95. For more information, visitLDComfort.com.

Went to this style of under gear for my ATGATT riding several years ago. I always take tw sets for week+ long trips. Add a sleeved shirt, light weight pants/shorts, moccasins, sleep tee and tw pairs motorcycle socks. All will fit into my large Healthy Back cloth handbag. Carry my ICE information, baby wash shampoo in the bag too.It is great that there is finally a set of this type of motorcycle specific apparel available for women.
I’ve been riding in the LD Comfort Womens Briefs for several years. I appreciate the fact that I stay dry in them no matter how hot it is outside or how hot I may be, especially with my active “personal summers.” Wash them out at night and they’re ready to go in the a.m. Very comfortable without the seams, even on my 400+ mile days. Now I’m looking forward to getting their Combo Top.
I’ve been using Mario’s gear since 2009 and it really works! Found out about it from a long distance riding group and have friends who were long-time winter silks proponents who now love the tights and long sleeved shirts, too. The best part is you pack less! You can wash out a shirt and tights in baby shampoo, roll in a towel to get out most of the moisture, hang to dry in the bathroom, and have them ready for the next day. You don’t have to pack a lot of extra shirts and undies except for the days you’re not riding. And no heat rash issues/monkey butt either!
I have two of these tank tops and they are terrific for riding. Unlike most tops with the bra built in, these are “deep” enough to accommodate larger cup sizes. The best thing I can say about wearing these on the bike is that I never even think about them. Can’t say that of even a sports bra. Very comfortable, great wicking, cool and I have worn them for gardening and hiking as well. They wash right out and dry very quickly.
