Dunlop Offers Free Tires To Young Riders

Two classes At AMA Amateur National Championships are recipients

Sometimes it pays to be young, especially if you are one of the countrys quickest motocross riders. Thats because amateur motocrossers competing in two classes at this years AMA Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynns Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., today through August 4, are entitled to a set of free Dunlop tires and installation.

“Riders who qualify in the 51cc stock shaft drive class (406) and the 65cc stock 7-9 class are eligible for free tires and mounting,” said Brian Fleck, Dunlops off road technical manager. “Even if they currently use another brand. They just need to visit our service area to have their free set of tires installed.”

Loretta Lynns, as the competition is known nationally, was conceived in 1982 and is one of the most prestigious amateur national championships. This years event will host hundreds of amateur riders who have qualified in one of 64 area qualifiers and 13 regional championships. The weeklong family-oriented event has been the springboard to success for many of the world#8217;s top motocrossers.

Dunlops helping hand at this years competition follows the companys historical commitment to amateur racing. As the official tire sponsor of all the major amateur OEM groups, including Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Cobra and Polini, Dunlop supports thousands of amateur racers through the largest amateur program in this sector of the industry. Earlier this year the company announced Team Dunlop, a new program that sponsors select young 85cc-class motocross and minibike amateurs. Members of Team Dunlop receive tire support and preferred-treatment service at select races, and advertising and promotional opportunities in national media and on the Dunlop Web site, DunlopTires.com. Dunlop also contributes $500 to an educational savings fund for each rider, underscoring the importance of staying focused on schoolwork.
