SUMMARY:AMCA Riveters Women’s Ride: Chix at the Crossroads
DESCRIPTION:For its second organized ride event\, the AMCA Riveters chapter presents “Chix at the Crossroads.” In 2022\, WomenRidersNow.com brought you the chapter’s inaugural ride\, Chix on 66\, 40 women riders traveling the entire length of Route 66. \nThe 2024 women rider’s motorcycle and music journey is set to be just as epic\, beginning in Maggie Valley\, North Carolina\, at Dale Walksler’s Wheels Through Time Museum. The entire ride will cover approximately 1\,200 miles and meanders through North Carolina\, Tennessee\, Alabama\, Mississippi\, and ending in Memphis\, Tennessee. The ride will take 14 days\, and riders will explore the south’s rich musical heritage along the way\, spending multiple nights in Maggie Valley\, Nashville\, Clarksdale\, and Memphis. \nTo participate in this event\, your AMCA and Riveter Chapter memberships must be current through June 30\, 2024. To join the AMCA\, click here. Once you join the AMCA\, you will then join the Riveter Chapter. SUMMARY:ADVWoman Group Training
DESCRIPTION:ADVWoman presents a group training event for women adventure motorcyclists\, limited to 16 riders with lead instructors Pat Jacques and Shalmarie Wilson. \nLEVEL 1 session for new riders\, but if you’ve trained with us before\, you’re ready for more—new for 2024 we will focus on LEVEL 2 and LEVEL 2 PLUS training. \nAll riders will learn essential skills including how to handle the height and weight of tall ADV and dirt bikes\, proper seated and standing body position\, balance\, clutch and throttle control\, counterbalanced turning\, braking on loose terrain\, line choice\, and riding obstacles. LEVEL 2 means deeper ruts\, steeper hills\, loose rocks\, deeper sand.  LEVEL 2 PLUS is about combinations of challenging terrain like really steep hills (think sand dunes) and combinations of steep\, loose\, tight turns\, and sand. \nSmall class size means riders will receive lots of personal attention from professional coaches. Our step-by-step teaching method builds skills progressively meaning you’ll learn to ride slow in a straight line before you’ll learn to do slow turns. Build skills and confidence quickly with practical training which you will immediately apply. We will end the day with a short\, fun scenic instructor led\, beginner appropriate ADV ride. \nSunday\, we’ll pack lunches and enjoy an all-day outride in the dazzling Escalante Canyon region. The revival returns to the 3\,500-acre Lynn ranch in Hurricane Mills just an hour west of Nashville in the picturesque countryside. The four-day family-friendly bash includes Harley-Davidson test rides\, stunt shows\, motorcycle racing and a two-wheeled playground for off-road trail riding. The BC Moto Invitational\, a custom motorcycle showcase\, features select craftsmen displaying some of the country’s best custom motorcycles.
