WIMA USA National Rally
August 19 - August 21
WIMA, Women’s International Motorcycle Association, was founded in 1950 by Louise Scherbyn, an American who started riding motorcycles in the 1930s. At the time, this was not only unusual for women, but was frowned upon. Scherbyn rode her Indian through the USA and Canada and made many contacts with other women interested in motorcycling. In the 1950s she founded WIMA with a few others. Since that time, WIMA has expanded to become an international organization with associations established in nearly 40 countries.
WIMA USA is the United States’ chapter of the international organization and the Rally is their annual gathering and ride. Keep an eye on the WIMA USA page linked below for additional updates and information.
